Somehow the color yellow crept through, unnoticed, to shady aspen groves and fluffy, baby-chick weeds, bike trails and deer's favorite napping spots. Yet, so much green still remains. This is the twilight zone between summer and autumn.
Meaning of Life
This little critter is clearly pondering about the meaning of life. ๐ He told me so!
Skeptical Visitor
A skeptical visitor. ๐ค (I'll tell you the truth: this deer was trying to pee, as I was photographing her, hence the funny facial impression!)
Antler Glory
You might think it's easy to film a white-tail deer...until you add your sidekick, a basset hound--who can't catch these leggy stunners, but *thinks* he can--into the equation! ๐ถ
Happy Goat
Happy goat frolicking in a field of...some mountain flowers I can't identify. ๐๐ผ Can goats be happy? Well, it anthropomorphically looks like it's smiling, and that's good enough for me! ๐
I TOLD you that goat was smiling: so basically, this is the equivalent of Satan, but happy! ๐
Lead the Way
It's summer. But we still get a glimpse of the harsh terrain, in which these wild goats survive; hereโa mother endearingly leading her baby along remaining snow in the mountains. I just wish I could witness them in their full glory once instead of covered in patchy shed hair. Yes, it's summer, after all.
A Visitor in Orange
A visitor distracting me from my work day (not that I wouldn't use any excuse to photograph! ๐)
Unexpected Symmetry
I don't get to photograph as often as I'd like nowadays, so a simple trip to the nearby river to do so was a welcome change. Apart from shooting even more macro imagesโI realize my blog feed is littered with themโI came across a slew of mallards.
Whereas the males' striking color is always gorgeous, these birds are common enough for us to if not ignore them, then take them for granted. But I'm so glad I captured a few images of their seamless gliding across the murky water, albeit with striking sun reflections matching the mallards' emerald heads, since they reveal unexpected symmetry.
