End-of-Summer Golden Hour

Somehow the color yellow crept through, unnoticed, to shady aspen groves and fluffy, baby-chick weeds, bike trails and deer's favorite napping spots. Yet, so much green still remains. This is the twilight zone between summer and autumn.

Happy Goat

Happy goat frolicking in a field of...some mountain flowers I can't identify. ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒผ Can goats be happy? Well, it anthropomorphically looks like it's smiling, and that's good enough for me! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I TOLD you that goat was smiling: so basically, this is the equivalent of Satan, but happy! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lead the Way

It's summer. But we still get a glimpse of the harsh terrain, in which these wild goats survive; hereโ€”a mother endearingly leading her baby along remaining snow in the mountains. I just wish I could witness them in their full glory once instead of covered in patchy shed hair. Yes, it's summer, after all.

Unexpected Symmetry

I don't get to photograph as often as I'd like nowadays, so a simple trip to the nearby river to do so was a welcome change. Apart from shooting even more macro imagesโ€”I realize my blog feed is littered with themโ€”I came across a slew of mallards.

Whereas the males' striking color is always gorgeous, these birds are common enough for us to if not ignore them, then take them for granted. But I'm so glad I captured a few images of their seamless gliding across the murky water, albeit with striking sun reflections matching the mallards' emerald heads, since they reveal unexpected symmetry.
