Lately, I've been encountering wildlife at the most inopportune moments, when various types of deer, turkeys, and even elk—that I've never seen here before—were in the process of crossing the road. Such incidents probably make every wildlife photographer say, "Curses!" loud enough to shake the roof of the car.
Well, maybe just me!
Luckily, I then noticed a number of mule deer gravitating to one particular area, giving me enough time to grab my telephoto. And, if you've been following this blog, you'll know that I go ga-ga over how cartoonish and, therefore, cute their youngsters are.
