To a casual visitor, Kronborg--less than an hour outside of Copenhagen--is the "Hamlet castle," thanks to being immortalized by Shakespeare. Yet this mix of Renaissance and Baroque architecture and art is a visual feast for those who gravitate toward the macabre, fantastical, mythical, archaic, and just plain weird.
