I Will Not Photograph the Moon, I Will Not...

I will not photograph the Moon, I will not photograph the Moon...

Couldn't stay away, had to photograph the Moon.

There were no clouds around or artistically positioned branches in the way, but I noticed how enormous--and almost full--it looked on my walk back from swimming, and that was sufficient.

You know, I've always been interested in the Moon, primarily because of its mythic significance. However, it was not until I had relocated from the east coast of North America to the west--city to countryside--just over two years ago that I've started paying real attention to its phases, rise, and descent.

Soon afterward:

And it's really soothing to stand out on the balcony later-than-late on a cloudless darker-than-darkest night--with a glass of red wine in your hand and light breeze in your face--just staring.
