What's lilac above, pink below, and yellow in the middle?
Tonight's amber-shaded Moon!
The moonset almost coincided with the sunset on August 10, which likely explains some of the otherwordly colors throughout the entire sky. I also saw Venus to the right of the crescent Moon, complementing tonight's stellar entertainment of the highest caliber.
My cuddly, wrinkly basset hound seemed to have shared my enthusiasm. He stayed on the balcony the entire time staring at the horizon, probably unearthing those long-forgotten archaic dream-memories of being a wolf!
