Blue, red, yellow, and green--just about every major color in one landscape! Oh, and let's not forget those fluffy white clouds reflected below. π
Yellow Moonrise
It's great to be able to step out for a moment and shoot such a pretty Moonrise tonight. π
Geometry of the Mountains
Yesterday's hike went something like this, and the geometry of this image is giving me the shivers.
Purple, Violet, and Lilac
I was about to write some pretentious statement about the beauty of nature in the summer as seen through the macro lens, but I might as well tell the truth: if it's purple (lilac, violet--you get the idea), then I'll photograph it! I am allowed to just like a color without rhyme or reason! π
Rainy Days, Rainy (Path)ways βοΈ
Living in the north, I get quite affected by the lack of sunlight in autumn and winter, as my face is just bound to hit the keyboard from the seemingly sudden onset of fatigue. But today, especially, for some reasonβfour (five?) coffees and two teas laterβI've realized that rainy summer days have the same effect. Come back, sun, I won't complain about the heat again! π
Morning Dew
I am a staunch night owl living the forced lifestyle of a lark. And yet, there are some inadvertent benefits to having your dog drag you out first thing in the morning--before you're even capable of fully opening your eyes, let alone functioning: rich dew on grass, for instance. And, as I'm blinded by its diamond-like quality, I'm forced to open my eyes after all, run back inside and grab my macro lens. This is the result. π¦π
At the Heart of the Season
Sometimes, the best parts of summer are not found in the stunning sunsets above, but close to the ground below. πππ
Summer Idyll
Escaping the Sun
Hiding from the summer heat in the quiet tree shade at the river--much like the mallards in the background. π
Rain on White
Freshly fallen rain drops on delicate flowers. It's simple moments like this that make me enjoy macro photography. βοΈ
